Immigrated to Israel as a child in 1979. His family was the first family that made the difficult journey on foot from Ethiopia to Sudan.

Majored in social work and education.

His work experience includes serving as a senior program manager at JDC-Israel.

Amram is currently involved in giving lectures to various groups about Ethiopian Jewry, as well as guiding educational tours in Ethiopia.
