Involved in informal education, a social and political activist.
Born in Israel to Ethiopian-born parents. Works in the field of informal education and has been a social activist for over 15 years. He began his social action at the age of 18 with a petition to the Supreme Court against the IDF regarding the discrimination of Ethiopian Israelis.
Assists young adults prior to their enlistment to pre-military preparatory courses, and invests time in education as a tool to influence and design the young generation.
Itzhak Tiem currently coordinates the “Shvilim” Program for Ethiopian Israelis and takes part in the Berl Katznelson Foundation’s Young Fellows Program.
